I have seen the question asked several times: “We already have mazdaspeeds.org, why do we need a new site?” Therefore, I want to explain why I created this site and the purpose it serves to the mazdaspeed community.
What's the Purpose of Another Website?
Mazspeeds.org (MSO) is a forum with a ton of great content. There are also some really great mazdaspeed groups on Facebook with many active users (usually) willing to answer any question or problem you have with your mazdaspeed3/6. Mazdaspeedmods.com is not a replacement for these already great resources. As a matter of fact, I encourage anyone viewing this site to please go create an account on mazdaspeeds.org. Also, join a few of the many groups in Facebook for personalized questions.
Sometimes, though, finding the answer to your question can be difficult. You may find a ton of discussions on the issue you are looking for, with each of them offering differing advice. If you are new to the platform, or new to modifying cars in general, you may also get lost in all the terminology. Some discussions require some previous knowledge and/or experience on the topic. Not only that, but sadly there are a lot of people who give false information either to be funny, make references to inside jokes, or purely out of ignorance.
Finding a Solution
That’s where mazdaspeedmods.com comes in to play. The goal is to direct you to existing resources with straight-forward answers to the knowledge you seek. This isn’t a place to flame someone who has a plain Mazda3 running 4psi of boost untuned. You won’t find any references here to Wolfe Engineering. If you don’t get these reference, that’s OK – that’s the point of this site. I see the same questions asked on a weekly, sometimes even daily basis, in the facebook groups. The goal here is two-fold: 1) Get answers to those new to the platform that all have the same questions and 2) keep those questions out of the forums and facebook groups to add focus to questions that are more specific and unique.
Lastly, I hope I can shed light to recognize the tuners, vendors, content creators, drag racers, etc. who are supporting and pushing the limits of our platform. We need to support these people and organizations who continue to make parts, develop solutions, and keep the mazdaspeed community alive. Please look around and visit the continuously growing resources page. Check back in the following weeks for a new series I’m working on to highlight the big names in the community I’m calling Big Names in the Speed Game.
